Bad idea, coz

Can you use ext4 without journaling?
Or asked the other way around: You really use journaling on your USB sticks?

f2fs don't boot so you have to make a separate boot directory for....
What do you say about GRUB2 + F2FS?

No, but with ext2 I have issue with fs
Code: Select all
# dmesg | grep sdb
EXT4-fs (sdb1): mounting ext2 file system using the ext4 subsystem
EXT4-fs (sdb1): warning: mounting unchecked fs, running e2fsck is recommended
EXT4-fs (sdb1): mounted filesystem without journal. Opts: (null)
and I must to run check of fs with ext2 like this:

The stick is not displayed as a device with the blkid command.
After I connected this defective USB stick,
also sdb is no longer displayed.
That's bad. = No "easy fix"
seems
