Just a small inconvenience Firefox and Adblock Plus users may encounter:
http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/3762 ... howing.jpg

There is an ID in CSS called "advert" and it's being blocked by Adblock Plus
(due it's name), so the part of website isn't showing. When I disable
Adblock Plus, everything is OK.

Just like I said, it's a small inconvenience, fix it or keep it.

Not sure why these disappeared. I removed ability for guests & anonymous to see mchat. and looks like it took out the other stuff. Will try and put them back.

I would like to recommend that the site provide a custom build feature as found on the SLAX site. This would make using PORTEUS on CD and DVD much smoother for newbies like me and other impatient people.

@gsthompson277
we dont have resources for that at the moment.
anyway i find more practical to download base ISO only and then additional modules. if you are happy with them then you can create new iso with /porteus/make_iso.sh utility - it's really easy.

What about this? User downloads base porteus ISO and boots. A menu options allows user to choose from a list of packages which are then downloaded. An office package, an internet coms package, image organisation package. Each package could contain multiple modules such as image viewer, editor, organiser and id3tag editor. This is certainly possible.

@all
well - it could be also mounted over network (same as in PXE boot) to avoid downloading, but it would require strong connection to avoid hangs...

@Hamza
well done - waiting on first ISO :)

This is my idea !

:lol:
Errm, the idea is old. I got it from another distro while listening to the frostcasts. In fact many other distros offer this. I think we could implement it complete with dep resolution.
