should stay at least for 1.1.
dropping it would require updating the docs which we can't afford atm.
also - if it does the job then why removing it?
Please add [Solved] to your thread title if the solution was found.

Sorry, I am not asking to drop it from v1.1...and it is too late if I want this.

I want only to know if the community uses it. If not, We can drop it as anyone needs or uses it.

What do you think fanthom about drop it from Porteus ?

I think it's of value, particularly to new users. As our user base expands, this tool will help out a lot of folks. Most of our users/testers at this point are very used to the "Porteus way of doing things" and they set up all of these customizations manually or with the individual tools, so I think that's why you've not gotten a lot of feedback about this to date.

I should have gotten more testing and comments on this earlier (my apologies) -- a couple of things, if development continues (in addition to the english fixes I've sent):

1) The menu lists this tool as "Porteus Settings Assistant", but the app refers to itself as "Porteus Settings Centre", so the .desktop file ought to be updated in final to reflect this (I updated the FAQ today to say PSC instead of PSA)
2) on a user's first run through the program, it never brings up the several of the menu items (namely, Firewall, CleanMe, boot configuration, maybe more) that are available from the jump menu that opens the second time the user starts the program. If development continues, I think it would be useful to have the welcome screen offer the jump menu, and to have the program go through all of the configuration options on the first run.

Thank you, Hamza!
Please take a look at our online documentation, here. Suggestions are welcome!

Ok, I will rewrite the GUI with brokenman's help only if the community won't drop it.

IMHO this is a very important application and beginners would probably rely on it heavily. It could be auto started when a 'first run' was sensed ... although this would be difficult from non writable media and some people find this annoying.

Most certainly a vote to keep from me.
