Basically wasted time cause maintainer 1ncm being too lazy *ahem* forgot to name the created version precisely.

youtube-dl-2020.11.01-noarch-1ncm is in fact youtube-dl-2020.11.01.1
You see the difference in the version number? I thought there must be an update, because the version I had was this:
youtube-dl-2020.11.01
and the version donald gave the heads up this:
youtube-dl-2020.11.01.1
You see the extra .1 at the end, that signals a newer version. The other one could be read as V2020.11.01.0 and the newer one as V2020.11.01.1
Still both are the same, even when the version naming suggest the one with the 01.1 at the end instead of only 01 being a new version.
I hope now I have been able to make myself clear.
Cheers!

youtube-dl -u *cough* meaning I should have renamed the module into *_rava.xzm; then it would be obvious who did the mistake.
I now throw myself out of the cellar window.
@All: sorry had very rough times the last 4 days, with erratic sleep pattern to boot and often not enough sleep. Seems this has been less helpful to my overall performance.
Cheers!

In which module of rc2 does the script sit?

Not only that, but Github is explaining the reason why they had to take down the code in the beginning, because of the law that threatens them and the developers.donald wrote: ↑17 Nov 2020, 17:04youtube-dl is back..

For anyone interested in digital freedom and the infringement of these rights by the music and/or video industry, give the post as quoted by donald a read!

good news
live script reverted so that urls work again.. for the latest version: 2020-11-18
@Rava, on RC2 : /opt/porteus-scripts/update-browser contains all the former update-* srcipts : update-browser -h for usage..
and if the only reason you're using RC1 is because of kernel/nvidia driver, you can use whatever kernel you want with RC2, including the one from RC1...

Indeed, RIAA and others need to learn why takedowns such as the yt-dl one will no longer succeed the way they want it to.
Like I wrote in the rc2 thread: my version without the updated scripts crashed trying to suspend, and while I gladly test upcoming Porteus versions, the rc1 and the rc2 are also my day-to-day "production OS" and that means not only NVidia driver but also stable and able to suspend.ncmprhnsbl wrote: ↑18 Nov 2020, 04:14@Rava, on RC2 : /opt/porteus-scripts/update-browser contains all the former update-* scripts : update-browser -h for usage..

Currently I am saving all unfinished tabs from my browser into a text file so that I can look these up after a reboot and then hopefully I manage to restart into rc2 and then suspend works.
… …
My question was… in which module are the /opt/porteus-scripts/update-browser scripts?
I think lsxzm will be helpful finding the right module to extract it for using it also in rc1.
Cheers!
