The 9 and colon browsers font issue

Some of you may have been wondering for some time, what the hell was wrong with your browser Lucida Grande font, the number 9 (replaced by a dash symbol) and the colon char (not appearing)...

Well, this is the explanation.

Not clear for me if I have to install other helvetic fonts, or setup a fonts config as this guy explains.

In fact, this is a real preview of what I'm just posting...
