How to use the download manager xdman

Post#1 by Kulle » 25 Dec 2018, 14:32

I have downloaded xdm-2018-x64.txz
And then txz2xzm and activate.
Start in Terminal: password is required!
And now?
Who can help?
Thank you very much.

:D
first: it's xdman (xteme download manager)
it's binary is installed at /opt/xdman/xdman
and it requires java (openjre will do), but since jre puts it's java binary in /usr/lib64/java/jre/bin, xdman will fail to find it.. so..

Code: Select all

# ln -s /usr/lib64/java/jre/bin/java  /usr/bin/java
will fix that..

i'll edit the topic title for clarity

Thanks for the quick help.
In the meantime, I have found a easy solution for the installation:

@kulle:
Maybe you should present linux-apps and the way to integrate it to porteus. You could make a list of your favorite apps. This is a nice way to have access to programs without building modules.
