I remember having read that Porteus should boot with any generic Kernel as long as Kernel image and Kernel modules are of same version. I downloaded these .deb files for vmlinuz, modules and headers, from
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... 9QjVJ3uAtC
and tried with porteus. The kernel does have support for aufs., but fails to go ahead, showing the fatal message 'porteus folder not found'. The folder is there in the HDD. The moment You revert back from this "generic" to "kernel with porteus name in the config file , It does see the folder in HDD and boots.
Please explain. Can any change in linuxrc file overcome this requirement?
