New to smartphones, I was looking for opinions and expert advice for the android platform phones.Do you have any helpful tips? Is there much fuss to have about security and android phones?

I am presently trying Lookout Mobile Security after reading the following review on security:

If you want to avoid most of security issues, try to avoid to install extensions from another editor than Android Team (Google).

That is like Porteus. That is recommended to use only packages stored on Slackware Official Repository or Porteus Module Repository (ponce.cc).
