SHOTCUT has replaced KINO:
Just read in french that kino has been abandoned in 2013;
http://linuxfr.org/news/kino-c-est-fini-vive-kino
Alternative video editing software are proposed amongst which shotcut.

The maintainer of kino, Dan Kennedy, has replaced kino by shotcut which in the form of an app. That is very easy to install and operate for porteus.

Needed libraries:
https://www.shotcutapp.com/notes/linux-dependencies/

Code: Select all

SDL2-2.0.5-x86_64-1_slonly.xzm
jack-audio-connection-kit-0.124.1-x86_64-2_slonly.xzm
libid3tag-0.15.1b-x86_64-4.xzm
sox-14.4.2-x86_64-3.xzm
Download:
https://www.shotcutapp.com/download/
Extract in /opt/:

Start in command line:

Code: Select all

root@porteus:~# /opt/Shotcut/Shotcut.app/shotcut
This package is easy to install and easy to operate. Yet it accepts all the file format I have submitted to it. :D
