The problem with the lack of privacy isn't exclusive of USA, of course. We can simply remember Snowden's leaks.

In my opinion, the issue with privacy is a well planned Coup of corporations that, providing what they call 'free services', are using us as the actual product. As people can't see it or don't care or simply don't know what to do to avoid it, they just fall in love with the promises of the market and keep desiring useless things on an endless circle of consumerism that is destroying our planet and the lives of billions of people.

What's scary is not the blindness of majority, but those who defend this broken system as if it were the only and perfect solution to mankind, sometimes even saying that this is natural, a basic and unavoidable instinct.

For the mess he could will create he is all the world's president. Let's look into the past, some prior wars: Korea, Vietnam, Iraq (against Sadam): All have been based on lies, all have been started out of greed, to make the USA great again (or similar such nonsense)... and still, nothing was ever done against these war atrocities by the USA and some allies (like the UK)...

And while the EU sure has its issues (especially with lobbying and the poser of the large companies or large international banks) it is still a better approach than what the right-wingers anti-EU-folks want to make. ...

Me, with the network and system admin background I do understand "update" as what it means, or should mean: already installed software gets updated to newer versions, mostly bugfixes or security fixes.

But in the smartophone-verse, updating means, you get, without being asked and without giving consent, 15 new silly programs like pizza.de, liferando.de or zalando.de (and I dislike all 3, but especially zalando... urggghhh)
When you complain in the shop you got the smartphone from, explaining to them what "to update" means, they look at you like you being from the wrong planet telling you "that's what updating means. You get new programs"

I do not know, should i thinking this is good or bad ?

But now they want always my telefon number.
In Summer 2017 it will required to show your passport for a praipaid Telefon account.

For a few months ago it was happend that my working mail.de account was deleted without comment.
I guess that the admin to me has not believed that my real name are Peter Pimmel.

If everbody now a good email provider I m thankfull.
In Germany is only freenet.de working without telefon number but they need an additional email account.
And i think SMTP will not work.

Yep, it helps to be a bit dumb if you want a "happy go lucky" life.

People even don't realize that they're getting different prices depending on
whether you login into a shop with a mac or a PC.

Or that they pay different insurance rates, because the seller did know
(because of your payback card) that you bought 5 sixpacks a week.

Or they are not allowed to enter the country
because they have bought a suspicious book at amazon.

and so on....
