Salutations...
It seems the desktop camps both here and everywhere else...
are divided between 2 camps based on the 2 major toolkits.
They are Gtk (eg. Gnome... etc) and Qt (eg. Kde... etc) the fact is the community
would be unfairly represented if one is thrown under the bus.
I am in the Qt camp (which brought me here) and I would take exception to it's elimination
(although I would make an exception with the
neutral papyrusOS shell regardless of toolkit).
Perhaps this is why brokenman has considered this unique shell.
It seems like a smart play and would silence the quarreling because it's either that
or as he originally considered... Openbox for all and every man for himself.
Anyone that would be unsatisfied could still install the desktop of their choice from the USM.
Those who protest this new strategy have to consider brokenman would be forced to support
4 light/heavy desktops based on 2 toolkits as the sole maintainer to make everybody happy.
So it appears the logical choice is to break with convention and think outside the box like he did with Nemisis.
"Best Regards"...
