Light Mail Client

Seeking light mail client. Someone in Russian forum having problems trying to get claws-mail. Tried to help out by showing usm -g claws-mail example to follow, however paths diverged (I'm on KDE, he on XFCE) after 3rd or 4th choice, and instead of ending up with 27 MB download, he ended up with a 237 MB download, almost all Porteus. Cannot think offhand of another mail client to recommend him.

Unless you are going with an ncurses or text based mail client you probably won't get much lighter than claws.

^ Perhaps a somewhat heavier client with less dependencies?

Why not ask him/her to just use a web browser. They are likely to already have a web browser. I have not used a mail client in years preferring FF to login to view mail etc.
