If I install 64 bit version of porteus with compatibility modules for 32 bit applications, what will be major advantages over 32 bit porteus version ?

The main dis-advantage is that, as of right now the x86_32bit is a little behind, as far as development versions go.

(Let me make this point clear there is no race to that first release. It is not a competition to pump out OS versions as fast as possible.)

There are also other advantages for the x86_64bit which are not so obvious. That have to deal with coding at an assembly language level,
and ultimately more addressing space for memory (For having copious amounts of RAM typically larger that 4 GB)

So to summarize. Evaluate needs. Then make selection. And I am sure that the main developer of the 32bit version would be more
than happy to have more testers/developers/end users.

@rnport
as per phoronix benchmarks: 64bit kernel is faster that 32bit (and 32bit PAE)

be aware that in some test "less means better" :wink:
