Code: make -j(mistake)

Post#1 by 82issa » 06 May 2011, 21:35

So I decided to compile gcc 4.7.0 I issued my ./configure with all my variables. I forgot to issue the -j on the make.

So now I am 3 hours in on compile and don't want to cancel it to add the

Code: Select all

make -j4
Just needed to vent my frusteration.
Sorry guys... I got to go. My girlfriend just casted "get your dirty ass into the shower" on me.
Oh and here is some naked grandpa pictures too.

My condolences.

I'd suggest a six pack, but I think you'd forget more than the -j if that was your solution.
Please take a look at our online documentation, here. Suggestions are welcome!

If it is any condolence .. i would always compile something like gcc without the j switch ... but not without the beer.
