libreoffice: the big kit tailored to your language(s)

Post#1 by francois » 30 Dec 2014, 21:18

I would like to have access to libreoffice in my native tongue, with the dictionary and the grammar kit. In fact, I would have like just to modify porteus version to do so, but I don't know from what source it is built. I work with the 64bit architecture.

1.0 Building from source. Meanwhile, beny has proposed that I build from source libreoffice with my locale which is french, but I also like english canadian as in America its hard to make your way exclusively in english.

Slack.build for libreoffice alone:

For the language pack, Niels Horn proposes:

For libreoffice, language pack and helppack:

libreoffice rpm packages (the real big kit):

2.0 Already built packages. From Alien, you can get all these slackware already built (java is needed to get libreoffice running):
http://www.slackware.com/~alien/slackbu ... kg64/14.1/
libreoffice-4.3.5-x86_64-1alien.txz
libreoffice-dict-fr-4.3.5-x86_64-1alien.txz
libreoffice-l10n-fr-4.3.5-x86_64-1alien.txz
openjdk-7u71_b14-x86_64-1alien.txz

This is handy as all you have to do is to convert them into modules.

3.0 Interrogations. I have tried to run with the langage pack but the interface is still in english instead of in french. What is the way to get the interface in french?

Ok, I just got it with system > porteus setting center > wrench-screwdriver icon > language setup.
