control Mouse Pointer by Keyboard/Numpad

Post#1 by noobTeus » 11 Jan 2014, 14:14

Hi :)

Is there anyway to control the Mouse Pointer by using Keyboard/Numpad in LXDE.

OS: Porteus-v2.1

Thanks!

What? Why would keybinds be hardware -dependent?

Not exactly what the OP requested (numpad mapping), but here's one hands-off-the-mouse solution:
( DE independent ~~ not specific to LXDE )

Most Dell Laps for example have a jog-dial, which sits between g, h, b
Hello? The "jog dial" displaces left/right/up/down kb arrow keys.
The l'il control between g,h,b... confusingly, various vendors refer to it using differing (trademarked) names.
AFAIK, its generic name is "pointing stick" Pointing stick

What does google search return for, say: LXDE numpad mouse control ???

Well, whaddyaknow. Tada! The very first search result contains a definitive LXDE-specific solution:

Seriously?

First you spouted "Your question is irrelevant of OS"... and now you're blathering about "key on a doze".

I posted to resolve the OP's question, not to philosophize about "why do you think there is a Win key on doze?"
