I will do it with pleasure. Lets say within a week or two. However I might need some specific information as I write down the information. For example, if you may, what is your real name. Fanthom is nice but maybe not enough serious for the purpose of the article.

I might also translate the site for the french version of wikipedia, but I don't know when.

I just hope that captain picard will not be offuscated by my generous use of his text. I will try to transform it as much as I can so that I do not steal his intellectual property. In fact, any comments of captain picard will be quite appreciated.

Presently, I do not know if I am enough reliable to do so. Lets wait until I get to know how much I would like to be involved. However, I know I have taken much from the community, this could be an occasion to give back. You know that I am no programmer. Though, your proposition is flattering.

Sorry , but in the DOC Team , you don't need any skills about the programmation , if you like write some docs , you can be in the DOC Team.

Finally I was right, from wikipedia the information I built was removed because I do not have a real name to offer, citation:
"we don't use nicknames in an encyclopedia, real names or none"

Maybe I should mention Brokenman real name too, as he pilots the 32 bit edition. The native country or origin and the actual country in which you live would also be an asset. Inasmuch as the city and country where the server deserving Porteus is located.

i would prefer to use 'Porteus Development Team' expression - if that's an option. There is plenty of people contributing here so it's easy to forget about some names (and one can feel offended). if not, then we can provide our real names i think.

Anybody with information about the zen kernel. I am looking for a reliable reference.

1) 1.0 will be based on vanilla kernel + aufs patch only for maximum stability. If user asks for it i can prepare zen/ck kernel - it will be placed in the repo.
2) 1.0 will be based on slackware-13.37 and not current. we need stable userland to maximize compatibility of modules from the repo with Porteus ISO release(s). bleeding edge is not the case anymore i'm afraid. in terms of performance you can still say that it's "bleedinge edge"

seems that we are the first who introduced a new standard (xzm) in "linux live" world

my mistake - spup is a Slackware variant of Puppy linux (not the main dstro itself).

Thats a shame. It is a lot of work to stay on the bleeding edge. Maybe when we have more people involved, we can achieve this.

Nice ... we got a mention from the puppy litter. I would say we were the first ... we implemented it a couple of days after it was released wasn't it?

I for one am happy about that. Like when you're in hospital ... stable is better than bleeding. Trouble shooting bleeding edge gives me a rash.
