Use this as cheatcode at boot to blocks autologin.

In your porteus.cfg file (or hit TAB during boot) you can to the boot line: 3
This will boot Porteus into text mode (init 3) and require a password to log into the desktop.
BTW: Would be more useful to know which version/desktop you are talking about.

In your porteus.cfg file (or hit TAB during boot/syslinux/splashscreen) you can edit the boot line
