Hello.

Could not see anywhere to post compliments and appreciation.

Always liked slax but a couple of things were too hard for me. I like this better than any other distro I've used. The size, speed and software included are excellent but it's more than that I like it like I liked my bike when I was a kid.

A great little touch for a distro that's often going to be used live is setting firefox to ask where to save files rather than trying to cram what might be a large file into downloads which disappears when you shutdown anyway, well not necessarily with porteus but that's another cool thing/

But it is the whole thing I like, I expect to have a lot of fun with it and be productive when I need to be too.

Have not run across any bugs at all yet.

Thanks a lot

A little trick to make this work is to change the settings in firefox, and then open a terminal and run magic_folders.

Ask it to save your /home/guest/.mozilla which will keep your settings, and save all changes to firefox.

Awesome.... I assume this follows the same "Simplicity is divine" method of doing things.... Really need something lightweight I can drop on a flash for a MythTV Frontend. Using hard disks on a client machine is pointless and noisy for a system that is supposed to be a DVR. So if you don't have MythTV modules yet, I might end up being the one building them :)

Please respect this rule.
