Try running your .bat and .cmd scripts in the DosBox and see what happens.

Last time I used it to play carmaggedon, but in the end I had to use a fork called “
dosbox-x” to avoid annoying glitches.

I'm going to try it but I will have to find any dependency first. I look at the screen shot in DosBox-x link and I like what saw. Beside it look better then plain dosbox.

Be sure to share the module you make

Here is a screen shot and the file. Don't ask for help because I don't have a clue about dosbox-x.
Update
dosbox-x works only Mate

Thanks
Jack
Unfortunately my 15 min download yielded me this:
Code: Select all
guest@porteus:~$ dosbox-x
dosbox-x: error while loading shared libraries: libpipewire-0.3.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
guest@porteus:~$

When I did the dependency check I was in Mate and your running Cinnamon so it looks like I need to do a dependency without running any Desktop to get them all.
I guest I could add libpipewire-0.3.so.0 to make it work for Mate and Cinnamon. Is that all it needs?

Code: Select all
root@porteus:/home/guest# slapt-mod -s libpipewire
root@porteus:/home/guest# slapt-mod -s libpipewire*
root@porteus:/home/guest# slapt-mod -s *libpipewire*

I'm not an expert but at least the embedded interface is really confortable
p.s. I had built the module on nemesis with aur, I can pass it but I don't think it will work on porteus also.

I have a link on old Dos and Windows 3.1 if anyone might need it. I think DosBox-x can use most of them I think.
