Orbital apps must be run from the USB flash drive
As soon as the Orbital apps are running from a USB stick, they automatically put themselves into a portable mode. This means that all settings and data associated with the corresponding application are stored on the USB device.
Orbital apps are compressed
The apps have a built-in integrity check. As soon as an app is damaged, the user will be informed about it.
All dependencies are included in the Orbital app

I tried abiword and vlc.
abiword was in German and worked correctly.
vlc was only in English and was without sound (alsa audio output error: cannot open ALSA device):
