So then, which of these 3 methods did we use when installing Porteus?

Like what is my method of the three named ones: extracting the ISO and creating a /porteus/ and /boot folder on my harddrive, copying the ISO contents into these folders and start the installer-script?

learn.microsoft.com insists these three are the only methods of installing Linux. It cannot be that learn.microsoft.com errs, now, can it be?

Or do they put any native Linux way as "Bare metal Linux"?
