Porteus-v5.01 Cinnamon. Everything went fine w/ a 32 GB SanDisk formatted to 300MB fat32 on one partition & the rest to an ext4 partition. Setup to login as root every time.

Inxi, perl, Gnome Disk, LibreOffice, and gimp modules from 5.0 all worked on 5.01.

Used 'Browser Selection and Update Tool' to add Firefox.

New 535 Nvidia module didn’t work, and neither did an older 525 module. New 470 module worked. (Has a 515 Nvidia module in Porteus 5.0 Cinnamon, but didn’t try that. UPDATE: 515 version didn't work either)

GPU is a GeForce 1660 Super, which uses 537.42 version in Win11 Pro, and uses 535.113.01 version in Fedora 38 Cinnamon SPIN w/ a 6.5.5 Kernel.

Great Job!

When I tried it last night in my boot without the changes= cheatcode it booted fine and everything worked including my Firefox (110) module. Today when I booted with the changes=EXIT cheatcode it didn't recognize my Firefox module. :o It was loaded but no entry in the menu's Internet section and no icon on my taskbar.

New 535 Nvidia module didn’t work,
it was built "blind", in that i couldn't test it because i don't have a compatible card for it , so it was a gamble.
the other thing is i didn't include an xorg.conf in either of these modules, since i figured it would be generated for my hardware.
my suggestion would be to try boot to textmode with 535 module and use startx and see if there's any useful info from that.

Yeah, it's fine—heck, it was great without the Nvidia driver, but I wanted to test the drivers.

I was trying the new v5.01 pic and ended up losing the standard DE wallpaper pic?!? 🤔 Anyway, remember this one?
