@babam, no difference. Just to make sure you're not running from the UI because it would use --video-sync=display-resample, which is nice to have perfect audio/video sync, but it's a bit heavy.

When you open the video and press i, what you see in the line Video:? If you install the modules correctly you should see: libdav1d (dav1d AV1 decoder by VideoLAN). And if you see that, the performance should be waaaay better. On my Intel i3 10105 the video doesn't drop a single frame, while with the original decoder the playback was like a slideshow.

Yeah, it's working then. If you compare the amount of dropped frames between the original decoder and dav1d you'll probably see the difference.

What is your CPU again?
