I'm surprised Slax continues to use Slackware

I wanted to try Slax-64bit-15.0.0
Installation on USB is similar to Porteus
Porteus: script Porteus-installer-for-Linux.com
Slax: script bootinst.sh
I ran the script but the USB stick does not boot.
Why?
For Porteus, this has always worked without any problems

Ask Tomáš.
Slax used to have a very elaborate forum (Porteus once was Slax-remix), so all the already-longer-here Porteus-supporters started as Slax forum users. :)

But my question: does Slax still has an active forum?
Cheers!

i asked the interwebs : closest thing to a forum would be this: https://groups.google.com/g/slax-users
seems relatively active..

I have been the opposite of you! On a 16GB USB external disk I put on Slax first and it booted and ran without problems. But it was too limiting for my taste. So I put in Porteus Cinnamon. :D

Ohh but what could be done with only 250MB, because I'm becoming spoiled! Still, I thought I would try again to install Porteus on an entirely FAT32 disk and succeeded.

Somebody wrote somewhere the other day that Slackware v15 is becoming "old already", which offended me. Sniff. Long live the slack!

Some people do not understand the approach of a stable base.

Like with building a house: why would the foundation even matter? Well, everything you build on the foundation relies on it, for one thing. A good foundation is essential for a long standing intact structure atop.

And a stable OS base is the same.
Cheers!
