I type nmtui and here is the output.

Image

It show that SpectrumSetup-E2 is there.

Image

It show that SpectrumSetup-E2 is not in the list. It like it hiding.

I wish I knew what wrong with my WiFi.

If I didn't like Porteus Mate I wouldn't be here. With all Linux out for download Slackware (Portwus) is the best.
I just like Slackware because I think it teach you about Linux to build packages where Ubuntu is like Windows you just install programs you want.

Interesting. No "nmcli device show" or "nmcli connection show".

Also interesting, wlan0: disconnected. :o I assume the Realtek Wi Fi is your pc's wifi adapter?

That list seems to be for networks available to be activated and since -E2 is already active it's not there.

So is your concern that the -E2 network isn't in the nmtui window or that you can't connect to Porteus with your Porteus browser? :%)

I just found all my USB thumb drives and I found 1 to test.

Well I just check Nemesis and it acting the same way as Porteus. I check last time Nemesis was use on the network and it was 9 month ago. I hope it work so I could use it for the day Porteus work again but no luck.

So for now I will have to use Windows 7 pro.

Good luck Ed and all the other member.

When the Internet was working for you Jack did you have to Activate -E2 each time you booted Porteus?

Can you post the output of: "ls -lgh /var/lib/Net*" and "ls -lgh /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/".

Another thought, call Spectrum and ask if their Setup service has access limitations on you. Only allowed for Windows? Only allowed for one system per account? etc. Or it could be a router problem, have you checked it's settings? Have you had any power outages in the past2-3 weeks?

If it is set to Auto connect and you save changes it should connect automatically each boot. Mine does.

Not ls -lgh /var/lib/Net*. You missed the asterisk.

Well at this point I don't think this is a technical Linux problem. More likely a setting or conflicting app problem.

Can you post the output of these commands?

uname -a

cat /etc/porteus/*

ls -l /mnt/live/memory/images | awk '{if ($1 != "total") print $9,":",$6,$7,$8}'

cat /proc/cmdline

For the Porteus forum my browser's Zoom is set to 125% and sometimes higher. A rather small font used here. imho
