Blow your mind with CP/M on Porteus

Looking for a mind-bending rainy day project? Want to see where we've come as consumers (rather than real minicomputer unix / vms boxes etc)?

Just load up dosbox emulator.

Inside that, pop in Simon Cran's "MyZ80" cp/m emulator. (old program but reliable)

Watch as your Linux box running an ms-dos emulator, in turn running a CP/M emulator is STILL too fast. Must apply the myz80 config to slow it down to be real....

PIP some files around. Run mbasic or cbasic. You'll never complain about anything again!

Sure you can do things like run Unix v1 inside simh and whatnot, but doing CP/M this way is somewhat gratifying. Use it as a disciplinary tool on your kids.
