I take advantage of Always Fresh mode, so my filesystem never gets cluttered.
I am not sure if you have this in the tips and tricks. This is a fantastic idea, I don't know why I haven't thought of doing this.

Another note. The mloop instruction works just fine for mounting an xzm to specified directory. I have writen up a script that
I believe Fathom Is adding to next release which is "lsxzm". It list the contents of an xzm without extracting or mounting. In
all I think this is a wonderful start to a tough subject mater.

The info on the lsxzm script is under this post.

Thank you very much, 82issa!

I've added your lsxzm tool to the doc (I look forward to using it in the next RC or Final)

I've also added a paragraph about booting fresh to the Tips and Tricks doc, good call!

Posted after 1 day 11 hours 31 minute 3 seconds:
Updated draft to include some minor typos; I also retooled it to use a clean workspace instead of doing things on the desktop and in /var/slackyd. I'm just a messy slut, but I guess I shouldn't train others into my bad habits :D

I guess the tool may be useful for some. Personally i've always just used unsquashfs -l which seems just as simple. A slight correction though ... this command does unpack a module although not to disk file space. AFAIAK there is no way to look inside an archive without opening it.
