Porteus

With the upcoming version 1.0 of porteus 64 and 32 bit. There is a need to get really nice wallpapers. The sites for such images are not always equal in quality and there is even in the good ones a quite variable span of tasty pictures. I propose that you share within this post the links that you have found for your favorite wallpapers.

You could also list you favorite wallpaper site.

Try to present images that are as big as possible so that they could cover widescreens (1900 x 1200 or more)

Please classify the wallpaper that you propose nder one of the following categories:
-linux logos
-penguins (a special animal to the linux community)
-sunset and sunrise
-mountains
-countryside
-seashore
-animal
-plants
-cities and buildings
-figurative art

In addition an overall appreciation of the site would be a good thing in words and with a rating.
-modern art

(However,they have their little logo at bottom right, but I imagine that this could be corrected within gimp)

This is good idea.

Could you post some wallpaper (only the direct links), and the community will see if they are good or no.

You get there directly. Unless you meant something I did not understand. Is there a way to make them available as an image only without resorting to the site hosting?

Thanks I just caught that one. We were always wondering on the slax forum, why these hyperlinks were not responding correctly. Everything has been corrected. Also when editing post I just found all these interesting functions at the top of the writing area. Including the code that I just found yesterday.

I think i have mentioned it before but i'll say it again. A wallpaper is a personal thing so the one included in the 32bit will be a very basic one. It will be of a small file size. I think almost every user will change to a wallpaper that they prefer. This is a great thread for users to choose a wallpaper, although there is already a category in the forum for wallpapers/desktops.

From experience, what one person loves, another hates so for this reason the default wallpaper will be basic.
