On behalf of the Porteus dev team, I'm happy to announce the release of Porteus version 5.0-RC3.
Almost a year after RC2, both 32bit and 64bit versions of the 7 flavors are now available.
You can download the releases at any of our mirrors in the Porteus-v5.0 folder of your desired arch(x86_64 or i586).

List of mirors here: http://porteus.org/porteus-mirrors.html

To bring us up to date with slackware current development, some under the hood changes include: the implementation of PAM, the replacement of consolekit with elogind and python to 3.9.6. Along with the usual key upgrades: icu, glibc, gcc, mesa, llvm, xorg-server.
Certain packages have increased in size(eg. mesa, llvm) leading the ISOs now ranging between 335 and 425 MB(slightly less for 32bit).

All DEs are updated to their latest versions, with stable kernel 5.12.14 (easily upgradeable via nekos topic )

Porting of our porteus scripts to pygobject(python/gtk) continues (gtkdialog is included for the as yet unported ones).
USM(package/module manager) remains left out, for now, either to be revamped or replaced.

Brought to you by: Porteus Dev Team: brokenman, me, fulalas, Blaze, kernel wizard neko, and Hamza who keeps our server going.
and thanks to our core testers: Ed_P, donald and evergreen.

And a special mention for jssouza, who is no longer with us. We will not forget his valuable contributions.
