Are these md5sums correct?

Code: Select all

1cb38bdf770b0f0579ea640786c92118 003-xfce-4.16-current-20230906.xzm
85979fac8d67d716ac8bfd97e0df01e3 05-devel-current-20230906.xzm
f420034f00d31adc478672dd8be832e4 06-crippled_sources-6.5.1.xzm
a73081d8a186fc035c762bb4ca46f1bb porteux-v0.6-xfce-4.12-current-x86_64.iso
And I presume the technique creating my older needed NVidia driver is still the same as it was for v0.5 ?
Cheers!

porteux-v0.6-xfce-4.18-stable-x86_64.iso with your Cinnamon DE.

Without Cinnamon the ISO boots. But posting to the forum produces a "The submitted form was invalid." error. :o

No problem posting the update with Windows.

@Rava, there's no patch for kernel 6.5.x for Nvidia 340.xx at the moment AFAIK. You can keep using 6.2.x if it's working.

@Ed_P, please don't mix stable modules with current modules, otherwise it won't work.

The porteux-v0.6-xfce-4.18-current-x86_64.iso did indeed solve the booting problem. And the posting problem. :good:

Okay, I will try that. (Not have managed to compile the NV driver for the 6.2.x kernel up to now (procrastination much…), and now I have to first search where I put that older kernel and crippled-sources stuff since I thought downloading all the new stuff (sans the NV-driver.run) into one location would get me all I needed. Oh well.)

I presume I still use the 05-devel-current-20230906.xzm

Also, are my posted md5sums correct?

And the posting problem.
That's unrelated to your system, it is a forum.porteus.org server-side issue, you cannot solve anything on your end.
Cheers!

I find it suspicious that it only occurred when I was in PorteuX0.6.

Coincidence. To me it happened massively few days ago and then stopped completely (for now) [*][/b] and I used my same Porteus 5.0 x86-64 the whole time.
When Blaze gives me the okay for me to quote his email you can read it from one of he guys who maintains our servers for yourself.

Speak of the devil and he shall come: now I once more have the issue with "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again."
Tried posting this since UTZ 15:44 to no avail (17:44 my summertime) - and I was able to finally post it at 18:19 my time.
Cheers!

Thank you for the update.

Can you add additional ip addresses (1.0.0.1, 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4, 9.9.9.9) to app store's internet connection check script? Some ISP block CloudFlare WARP (1.1.1.1).

I added 8.8.8.8 as a fallback. Let me know if it's working -- you don't need to change anything because it should be updated automatically.

Thanks for the feedback :)

How can this be fixed GetNtpState? I want to setup Date and Time.
I just like Slackware because I think it teach you about Linux to build packages where Ubuntu is like Windows you just install programs you want.

Could be more specific? What are you trying to do, what is the expected behaviour and what is actually happening?

All appreciations for the team work !
Maybe it would be better for beginners in iso by default autologin to be disabled
And screensaver to be set by default with pasword
Thanks for this nice porteus derivative !

I don't agree, especially for beginners.
