I am using Porteus 4.0 LXDE (64bit, AMD64) on a HP Stream with a Celeron N3350 with 2GB RAM and UEFI boot.
The OS is installed on a fat32 formatted flashdrive.
I read all tutorials, tips and tricks & FAQs available but cannot get the OS the keep any persistant changes after a reboot using either a save.dat container file or magic folders.
I also tried formatting the flashdisk to ext4 and NTFS without any change in behaviour.
How can I save changes of a session after a reboot (i.e. settings in Chromium)?
Help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

Hello yachting.
I suspect the problem lies in how you are specifying the changes= parm in your boot menu. Please share your boot menu with us. Also tell us how you are booting the USB drive; BIOS, EFI, grub2, ....
