Why do we have wayland on porteus?
Code: Select all
root@porteus:~# locate wayland
/usr/lib64/firefox-81.0/libmozwayland.so
/usr/lib64/qt5/mkspecs/features/wayland-scanner.prf
/usr/include/qt5/QtPlatformHeaders/qwaylandwindowfunctions.h
root@porteus:~#

pretty much the same as here
why do we have wayland on nemesis? (Post by ncmprhnsbl #80772)
that list you have is "hardly any wayland"
.. but the future will bring more..
it's a case of: if you want to try and use it, it's there, otherwise it's safe to ignore it.

We could probably test removing all wayland files that come with Porteus.

Is there a vulnerability risk concerning wayland?
I vaguely recall some issues years back - but recall no details.
Cheers!
