missing library for smplayer

Post#1 by francois » 23 Dec 2018, 13:11

I built smplayer from usm.

I get:

Code: Select all

root@porteus:~# smplayer
smplayer: error while loading shared libraries: libQtDBus.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
root@porteus:~# updatedb
root@porteus:~# locate libQtDBus.so
/usr/lib/qt/lib/libQtDBus.so
/usr/lib/qt/lib/libQtDBus.so.4
/usr/lib/qt/lib/libQtDBus.so.4.8
/usr/lib/qt/lib/libQtDBus.so.4.8.7
/usr/lib/libQtDBus.so
/usr/lib/libQtDBus.so.4
/usr/lib/libQtDBus.so.4.8
/usr/lib/libQtDBus.so.4.8.7

Just found the answer, which I found a while ago:
qt-4.8.7-x86_64-4
is the qt version needed to get it running.

Thanks.

So, is there no tweak to get smplayer running with a recent, already Port-supported QT version?
Is smplayer no longer actively supported?

According to wikipedia SMPlayer
Stable release
18.10.0 (October 19, 2018; 2 months ago[2]) [±]
its development is active and recent.
Cheers!

SInce I mainly run XFCE or openbox, I am out of the loop when it comes to recent Port and qt5.

Which DEs have qt5 included by default? And how large would the dependencies be to include it into a XFCE or openbox Port?
Cheers!
