Which video downloader for newer Firefox?

(x86-64 version, Port 4.0 XFCE)

Do any of you know which video downloader works with more recent FFx versions?

Currently trying 65 beta, also tried 63, and the addons that used to work just fine with older firefox or palemoon not work with downloading of videos. E.g. "video downloader professional" usually worked like a charm)

Could it be that "OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco Systems, Inc." is the issue, or in other words it would work okay if the Adobe flash player would be used.

Edit
Wow, 452 views in just 8 days, and sadly, not one single helpful answer. :(
Cheers!

I am using Firefox Quantum 64.0.2 with Porteus 4.0.
For video downloads (mostly mp4, flv, mkv) I use the Firefox addon: Download Flash and Video,
available here

Code: Select all

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/user/14370926/
.
It's not perfect but it is successful much of the time.
Once you add it to Firefox it will be displayed in Add-ons Manager as "Flash and Video Download"
b.
Porteus v.4.0. Booting from Sandisk Ultra 32GB flash drive. Persistence via save.dat. Fat32. Hardware HP2000 laptop. USB 3.0. Browser current ver. Firefox.

These were non porteus users interested into firefox. We should step a little higher in the distrowatch ranking. :)
