I want to copy / convert some audio CDs (that's legal in my country as long as I don't break any copy protection, but audio-CDs don't have any)
The issue: The PCs that should copy the CDs have no internet access.
The one Porteus PC that has access has no CD drive.
So I need a solution that lets me download the needed freedb info and then copy that info to the machines with the DVD drive, but without internet. To be able to do so, a program or script of the PCs with the DVD drive must tell me which not-really-uniq alphanumeric Disk-ID the audio CDs do have.
Sadly I have no clue which programs or scripts are able to help me with that. Does anyone of you folks know how to do that?

To get the (CD) disc-id one can use cd-discid
The output of cd-discid:
8HexDigitID NumberOfTracks Track1StartFrame Track2StartFrame..TrackNStartFrame DiscLengthInSeconds
you need only the 8HexDigitID to query it at
http://www.freedb.org/freedb_discid_check.php
