That fixed the problem in terminal but when I try this Applications/System Tools/GParted it ask for password but dose not start.
Well I will be the only one using my Mate 1.19 build so if I need GParted I will use it in the Terminal and not the way I could have.
I just like Slackware because I think it teach you about Linux to build packages where Ubuntu is like Windows you just install programs you want.

Changing /usr/share/applications/gparted.desktop's exec to

Exec=gksu gparted

didn't work for you?

Two thoughts. One use USM to build a GParted module for your Mate. That should include the dependent modules and the right app icon for you. Two save the editted app icon as a module to include with the others you downloaded for GParted.

are you using brokenmans build scripts?
if you are, just put the modified gparted.desktop in /TREE/003_mate/usr/share/applications and it will be automatically added to your module when it builds.
