3.2 Man Pages: A Quick Way to Install Them?

Post#1 by Bogomips » 10 May 2016, 20:42

Trying to think of a way how best I can install them on my system. Any ideas to start with?

I can't think of a quick way. Reinstalling the packages is probably the only way. I could export them instead of deleting them when creating the modules, then upload them to the server. The current 'man' command should look for the online version.
How do i become super user?
Wear your underpants on the outside and put on a cape.

The online version does not have all the man potential, nor have that polished look. :( There is also the possibility that some man pages are module specific.

Then the exercise would be to download them, extract man pages, and create a man module. Hopefully possible to download via ftp.

Or just wait for alienbob's next live version, and lift them all, to which he would hopefully be amenable.
At the moment utilising those from the last live version by mounting the 0020-slackware_min-current-x86_64.xzm module. 8)
