If anybody can find AMD catalyst patches for the 4.5.x series kernel I would love to know. I can't get it to compile on my R7 series AMD card.
EDIT:
Looks like the driver won't work (as yet) on xorg versions greater than 1.17. I am running 1.18.

Salutations...
I'll look around but consider both nVidia and AMD are notorious for lack of Linux graphics support.
Unfortunately... generic (xorg) support is better than both it's proprietary counterparts.

Re: catalyst kernel patches
I don't see any specific mention of xorg versions on the link you provided. I also don't see anyone getting anywhere with xorg-1.18+. I guess nothing can be done for now. Thanks.

Re: catalyst kernel patches
@brokenman
AMD used to deliver updated Catalyst driver before each Ubuntu release (sometimes it was beta driver). Its not the case anymore as AMD is moving to the mixed model now:
opensource amdgpu driver in the kernel + closed source userspace component. This is handy as you dont have to deal with recompilation of the AMD driver every time the kernel changes (userspace part is kernel independent).
