[Solved] Does it stop?

If I start a long running task, scanning a harddrive with GParted for example, and walk away for an hr, when I return the screen is blank and touching the touchpad brings up the signin screen, has the long running task continued or stopped unit I signin?

Nope it does not, based on the Power Management settings and on battery power I suspended after 15 mins.

Do Power Management settings changes take effect immediately or only when rebooting?
