I share that notion of sharing the module.

Older browser module for playing flash games - where to find?
A module? -- I'm not sure if it's legal to redistribute the Adobe software in a module.
regarding the files -- The old link does not work anymore but I found it on archive.org:
https://archive.org/download/adobe-flas ... _64.tar.gz
could be a slightly different version,I don't know, at the moment I run a 32bit porteus and
the archive is 64 bit.
The gtk2 xzm is in <mirror>/x86_64/Porteus-v5.0/bundles/
I'm sure you guys are capable of building a module yourselves, right?
EDIT
tested with porteus_5-x86_64-xfce = it works.

I am sure we are.
For the flashplayer itself:

guest@porteus:/mybin/linux$ mkdir flashplayer
guest@porteus:/mybin/linux$ cd flashplayer/

Anyhow, when flash_player_sa_linux.x86_64.tar.gz can be hosted on us.archive.org - I presume a "flash_player_sa_linux.x86_64.xzm" could be hosted there as well?
Anyhow² … now to add all the other stuff as you recommended. Later.

if you do not care about any terminal warnings that flashplayer works out of the box.
Warnings when starting:
Code: Select all
guest@porteus:/mybin/linux/flashplayer$ ./flashplayer
WARNING: environment variable G_FILENAME_ENCODING set and it is not UTF-8
(flashplayer:2344): Gtk-WARNING **: 01:31:48.711: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "adwaita",
(flashplayer:2344): Gtk-WARNING **: 01:31:48.723: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "adwaita",
and when exiting it adds these:
Code: Select all
(flashplayer:1810): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: 01:31:18.369: instance with invalid (NULL) class pointer
(flashplayer:1810): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: 01:31:18.370: g_signal_handlers_disconnect_matched: assertion 'G_TYPE_CHECK_INSTANCE (instance)' failed
It looks like so

Info
When you click it's Control/Play menu entry (or you press ^ + l [=Control l]) some flash games switch to a pause screen, while others still loop the current scene but mute the sound.

Of course one first needs 021-libgtk+libgdk-x11-2.0.so.0.2400.33.xzm to be activated.
Then I created a symlink to the flashplayer binary in $PATH:and used that for opening swf files by creating that MIME type connection:
and thus you can directly start any flash game from your file manager (here: using thunar XFCE 4.16) and also not see any warning issues .
Then I created a symlink to the flashplayer binary in $PATH:
Code: Select all
guest@porteus:/usr/local/bin$ ls -o flashplayer
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root 43 2022-12-10 05:24 flashplayer -> /mnt/sda5/bin/linux/flashplayer/flashplayer*
and thus you can directly start any flash game from your file manager (here: using thunar XFCE 4.16) and also not see any warning issues .
Cheers!
