porteus.example.net hostname

I presume porteus.example.net is your system's standard hostname when you not defined a real one, and the system is reverting to it since it is told that's your hostname.
Cheers!

But why is it changing all the time? And what is changing it?

Good question…
I am not knowledgeable enough to understand that.

I had one issue when the free WLAN was still connected but wanted its once-every-24hrs affirmation of its terms and conditions.
While in that state, https connections other than the one confirmation page of the WLAN provider would not work; only http pages would load, and only for 60 seconds, after that it would automatically disconnect the WLAN.

But on some rare occasions the WLAN is connected much longer, but with the "no https" restrictions, and also interlink and its ports to open secure connection with the email provider would not work.

And then interlink would give me "security exception warning / approval" windows every time it tries to connect… telling me about an obscure net certificate I have to approve that seems not even related to the WLAN.
I have no clue what the relationship between the WLAN (it runs via Kabel Deutschland, and in this federal state its maintained by Vodaphone, so the page I need to confirm its terms and conditions is a vodaphone.de one) and the certificate (nokia.com) is…

So, obvious I am not qualified to solve or understand the more esoteric issue when it comes to network. And with network it gets complicated and obscure quite easily the more in depth you go.
Cheers!
Yours Rava
