I downloaded these modules: updated: 2021-10-06

Everything booted up in all modes without any ERROR and after I seen the main screen I click on the menu and then some program but here what happen. All the programs I try to use didn't start it just STOP. To shut it down or turn off I had to hit the main power button to do it.

When I seen I had no ERROR and WiFi I thought I had a working Nemesis (LXDE) but it was a big no.

When I did the first test I wrote what happen when I turn WiFi. This test I didn't turn on WiFi and the program in the menu now work and it now will turn off.

I don't know whats going on with Nemesis? I'm using my old version of Mate at lease it works. There is a few that is helping me with Nemesis (Mate) but I have the same problem.

I can't get help that someone might know.

please boot, don't turn on wifi and do this in a terminal:

Code: Select all

cat /proc/cmdline > info.txt
inxi -v 4 >> info.txt
save info.txt to your usb or hard drive
reboot to what works for you and post the content of info.txt.

I'm running the current right now and here how I did it.

1. I booted in Always Fresh mode
2. Open Terminal and ran cat /proc/cmdline >info.txt and inxi -v 4 >> info.txt
3. Started Firefox
4. Started WiFi.
5. Login to Porteus
6. Posted the info.txt to a message.

That what I would have to do to get Nemesis to work.

Hi Jack.

I've sent you a PM on how to autostart, but you need to remove this red paramater from your cheatcodes:

As for your WiFi problem, unfortunately I can't help. Maybe this post from Raja can help you.

Hope you are well.

Your copy of Mate and ncmprhnsbl copy autostart, it was my copy of Mate that didn't autostart. The only problem I have now is the WiFi on Nemesis, I had on Porteus but I fixed it.

If I knew which USB WiFi would work on Porteus and Nemesis I would buy one they are cheap under $30 on eBay.

If Porteus and Nemesis were built the same way they both should work not just one Porteus.

hi jack the nemesis kernel is arch environment related, the same thing is only the aufs patch, porteus is slackware, btw thanks to neko and his mkKernel is a great tool, without we have to fight too much with the configure and the patch or the overlayfs.
