Would a module created by update-[browser] created by Port 4.x or 5.x work as alternative browser as well? E.g. update-firefox or update-porteus?

Or does nemesis has its own update-* scripts that differ from the Port ones?
Cheers!

Nemesis is a incomplete porteus base with archlinux package manager. You can try using the modules you have created under porteus slackware. On my nemesis (arch linux) installation porteus modules palemoon and libreoffice work. But okular will not, because of missing libraries.

update-* will not work under nemesis. Just test it under cli mode.

also remember that arch/artix has well stocked repos
eg. pman -S firefox will get you a firefox module
(probly run setup-pman first)
and with devel module activated:
pman -S palemoon-bin will make a module via AUR (although if you use a palemoon module from slackware porteus it works fine -- it's essentially the same prebuilt binary..)

look in /usr/local/bin and usr/local/sbin to see what scripts nemesis has..

thanks ncmprhnsbl and neko for this release, well the pman work very well, and you have a lot of software ready to use, francois, okular is part of kde so you have to use a gtk pdf reader,or you have a plasma nemesys....

I just like Slackware because I think it teach you about Linux to build packages where Ubuntu is like Windows you just install programs you want.
