Back to the drawing board for staage 003. After booting into lxde on another machine I found:

1) mousepad not working (probably due to synaptics module not loading, libinput?)
2) nm-applet not working (I think this is upstream)
3) network setup scripts fail (have to open nm-connection-editor)

It's enough to make a grown man cry.

EDIT:
I have resolved the synaptics mousepad issue.
I have resolved the nm-applet not working issue.
I will push out another ISO soon.

I can confirm. Mousepad mouse works but not the pad's clicks. No wifi network.

For the mousepad clicks see here: http://forum.porteus.org/viewtopic.php?f=137&t=5173

1) For the network right click on nm-applet and enable (or run: NetworkManager)
2) Click on nm-applet and choose your ESSID.
3) Then right click on nm-applet and choose to edit configuration.
4) Now you can enter security passphrase. After that you can select your ESSID again from nm-applet and it should connect.

have a loop with the wizard
Do you mean the terminal always starts with the wizard? It should only run once. Once you ctrl +c to close it it should remove the line with 'firstrun' from /root/.bashrc

To get nm-applet running install gnome-keyring using pman/pacman.

@Francois I will add pacman-db-upgrade to pman. Didn't know about it until yesterday.

When I initially tried to boot nemesis with my porteus files, changes= & extramod= it wouldn't boot so I have backed off intertwining the two.

I'll have to retry it with the changes= one again. Can nemesis share a porteus save.dat file?
