Portix was based on 20211129 update. Arch has updated ssl to a version not compatible to many applications, depended on it. Since I wanted all those applications to work, did build current PMC on that base.

nemisis-new was based on 20220219.

It's been a while since the last version of Nemesis MATE was released, so I hereby announce the availability of my updated MATE desktop.

CHANGELOG:

ADDED:
*** paru AUR helper as trizen alternative
Open terminal as guest and launch paru-setup to set pacman database including AUR packages. When done, you can press Win+Esc to get an interactive pacman (fuzzy) search & install.

*** Peazip instead of engrampa: Peazip includes latest (native) 7z + adds convenient secure delete option

*** Show Desktop applet and Workspaces applet moved to a bigger panel allowing to easily move windows between workspaces. See the demo gifs below.
*** Independant workspace wallpaper
*** Added Intel Clear Sans and Recursive mono/code free fonts

*** Keybindings:
Press Win+a to interactive activate modules on the fly
Press Win+space to get a dashboard app selection
Press F12 to get a "guake" system monitor (btop) (Edit: Unfortunately I didn't include tmux-start command attached to that keybind. Will fix as soon as I can)

*** Lots of aliases/functions in command line. Examples:
ae (archive extract) extracts multiple archive types, including .xzm modules.
gitlast Gets the latest release from your favourite github package
etc.

*** Added caja scripts into menu: Ease compute hashes from files, create firefox profile backup, etc.

*** Comes with 3 menu flavours: Standard, compact and advanced. Press ALT+F2 and type: sw-std-menu / sw-compact-menu / sw-adv-menu

FIXED:
bug in bbprofile preventing from further using superuser GUI commands


KNOWN BUGS/ISSUES:
NVIDIA drivers issues (Flicker/freeze etc.) Users with NVIDIA cards are encouraged to install the related drivers package(s)
Focus lost on opening new apps // This is an old MATE desktop 'feature'...
MATE panel autohide once clicked works only if staying (mouseovering) the panel for a second

And OpenShot-v2.6.1-x86_64.appimage is not working some python libraries problems

Please note that both Nemesis and Porteus provide for an autologin cheatcode that you can use at boot. You can choose from guest or root. A multiuser environment wold not make much sense (IMO) since Porteus is conceived as a portable distro.
Please, refer to the "cheatcodes" section of the docs.

Also multilib_x86_64 xzm module and wine-5.15-x86_64.xzm are not working

Adding wine support would increase the ISO size considerably. However, I'm pretty sure the same stripped modules provided by Tome (the great) would fit into Nemesis.
Also If you have enough memory, you can opt to download Conty which holds the latest version of wine. Then you can do things like:

Perhaps make an alias to short the thing up

And OpenShot-v2.6.1-x86_64.appimage is not working some python libraries problems

I will test and post the python libraries needed to get OpenShot AppImage running.

hi, if you active the lib32 repository in artix pacman.conf and refresh the database with sudo pman -Syu after you can use the sudo pman -S wine and when done you can use it, but the bundle is too huge 196 mb.
