Support for 802.1x wireless protocol in Porteus Kiosk? [Solved]

Post#1 by cdrake33 » 03 Jun 2021, 20:33

From the Kiosk installer it would appear I'm limited to using WPA2 for my wifi connections. Our organization has a dependency on using 802.1x to authenticate users logging into wifi. Is there any known method to get Kiosk to work smoothly with 802.1x? Thanks in advance for your insights!

Support for 802.1x wireless protocol in Porteus Kiosk?

Hello cdrake33,

Kiosk supports 802.1x EAP PEAP authentication.

EAP TLS is not supported as it requires valid certificate (if the cert expires then kiosk is bricked as there is no possibility to update the cert other than over the SSH).

Thanks
