screen_rotate - no effect after burning ISO

Porteus Kiosk 5.1.0

I have a setup with one ELO touchscreen mounted (not accessible so exact model is unknown) upside down in a holder which means I need to rotate the screen 180 deg.
In configuration wizard I can rotate the screen 180 deg (inverted) using screen_settings. This is working in configuration view but I can't tick the little box to activate it(?) It's grayed out.
After burning the iso to a usb stick everything else is working except the screen rotation.
However I think this actually inverts the touch points but not the screen itself.
The option screen_rotate=inverted does nothing.

I can't SSH into it due to complicated corporate network (wired).

I've tried both hdmi and VGA outputs with the same results.

Any ideas as to what can be the cause?

Thank you!

Got it working now.
Seems to be a problem with burning the ISO to another device (USB stick). I've tried several USB sticks and none works.
But if I burn it to the same stick running the wizard it always works.
Don't know why some parameters stick and some don't when burning to another device.

Hello stackerlee,

"Don't know why some parameters stick and some don't when burning to another device."
First time i hear about such case.

I believe you did something wrong or kiosk is booting from another storage (probably the hard drive) and not your USB stick.

Glad its solved.

It's all very strange, I've tried several times with different USB sticks (FAT32) and with no other media connected. Even tried without HDD.
Same results; everything works except screen rotation.
I understand there must be a logical explanation but I can't make it out.
Of course it must be on my side if it never happened before.
I'm content that it works when burning the ISO onto the installation USB.

Thank you for the excellent software!
