Hi,

We are using Firefox-browser as our infotv-player on Porteus-kiosk.
Now I have read that the autoplay video feature is being blocked from Firefox new versions.
Is there a way to change that setting?
Right now everything is working ok, because our players use old browser, but new players how to install them to unblock autoplay on Firefox?

Hi penuorte,

Not sure if i understand. We use Firefox-52.x in the kiosk which is not affected but the issue you have described.

Have you customized the ISO and included newer Firefox which causes autoplay issues? If yes then this thread should be posted in 'Users modification to the Kiosk ISO' subforum.
I guess i'll look at this problem when we actually upgrade Firefox in kiosk (still few months from now).

Thank you.

Thanks.
I have not included newer Firefoxm, just installing clients with usb-stick.

I am just asking for the future.
I didn't know the version what is in use. I thought Porteus updates Firefox to the newest available version, when installing a new client.

So if I understand this right, Porteus uses an older version of Linux?

Just for the record, Porteus does support newer versions of Firefox, and other browsers, Porteus Kiosk does not. :)
