Boot via UEFI PXE Network boot

Post#1 by megastary » 18 Apr 2019, 09:15

Hello,

our company is considering switching to Porteus on all our retail locations. We are currently using slightly modified ThinStation, which is sadly developed by single person and is behind on pretty much everything.
We love Porteus Kiosk as a concept, but we need to resolve couple problems before we make decision to switch or not.

I have made working Porteus image booting over PXE (Legacy).
Problem is, new Intel NUC does not offer this option anymore. Does anyone know and/or have made working design of PXE boot over UEFI PXE?

I have figured this out for ThinStation via iPXE but I have not managed to get it working with Porteus.

Any tips?
Thanks in advance

Hi megastary,

You'll need to use GRUB instead of pxelinux as described here:
